On behalf of your convention committee, we would like to welcome you to the scenic beauty of the Southern California desert. From Tuesday, September 21 through Saturday, September 25, the 2010 SEAOC Convention will be held at the luxurious Hyatt Grand Champions Resort Hotel in Indian Wells, California.
Let’s mix business and pleasure. The technical program includes 56 presentations, a plenary session on the Haiti & Chile Earthquake Reconnaissance and Panel Discussion, a business track, a Younger Member poster session, Annual Excellence in Engineering awards ceremonies, and SEAOC State Board and Committee meetings.
As for pleasure, Indian Wells is known for its Spa Retreats — so pamper yourself to a day at the spa, or just lounge by the pool and soak up the sun. For those interested in a little more activity, there are the convention golf and tennis tournaments, a fun run, as well as local sightseeing and shopping adventures. The evenings include a formal dinner and a casual dinner under the evening stars. The conference wouldn’t be complete, though, without the annual no-holds-barred traditional President’s Cup that will be Friday afternoon.
So we welcome you to what will be an enjoyable convention.
